Boren a No on Boehner Plan
Rep. Dan Boren, D-Muskogee, said this morning that he will vote against House Speaker John Boehner’s two-step plan to raise the debt ceiling and cut the deficit. Reps. Tom Cole, R-Moore, and James Lankford, R-Oklahoma City, have already said they would vote for it. The vote is scheduled for sometime Thursday.
Here is Boren’s statement:
“The last thing our country needs is to default on its financial obligations, but Speaker Boehner’s plan does not make the necessary changes to address the country’s fiscal problems.…

President Barack Obama is scheduled to answer questions at 1 p.m. central time on Wednesday on the first White House Twitter town hall meeting. Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey will moderate the event. Questions can be posed now using the hashtag #AskObama.
