Every oil well ever drilled, has had to pass through the water aquifers. We have been protecting the water aquifers in Oklahoma for as long as they’ve drilled for oil here.

While I understand and share your concern for Oklahoma’s energy companies, we have to understand that compromise must be part of the solution. Is it really so bad to ensure that states have the tools to ensure safe drinking water and soil for their citizens? We should be seeking common ground on what those regulations should look like, rather than pretending that we have all the knowledge to guarantee that hydraulic fracturing is safe.
