If Rep. Lankford is asking to repeal the health care reform law, it is only fair that he, specifically, list what he is asking to be repealed, and the consequences of repeal.

He is asking that private insurance companies be allowed to continue denying coverage to the 129 million Americans, under the age of 65, who have pre-existing conditions. (the Department of Health and Human Services)

He is asking that private insurance companies be allowed to drop coverage, from someone already on their rolls, if his or her treatment doesn’t match a company’s “bottom line”.

He is asking that we continue a health care system by which 49,000 Americans die each year, because they don’t have, weren’t able to afford, and/or were denied coverage for health insurance. (the Centers for Disease Control)

He is asking that private insurance companies have license to pay for non-health related interests (e.g. advertising)in grossly disproportion to what they pay for health care itself.

He is asking that $280 billion be tacked on to what is already a $14 trillion deficit, this being the cost of repeal (the Congressional Budgetary Office)

These things, and many more, should Rep. Lankford list, in his “principled” call that we repeal health care reform.

Would it be better if you had a lot of uninsured pull everything down? In Oklahoma there is 800K on sooner care,
what will they do with the health care reform on hold they can not just wait. Will they go broke & will 800K go uninsured & run to the emergency room? Why the greed at the cost of the poor? Why do they drive a $30,000 SUV to a tea party & gripe about taxes that would cost less than their SUV or their kids cell phone bill & say it’s ok to let the poor suffer?
The poor is your foundation is it not time to build it up & not do the things that did not work last time?
We have a right to health care!
The Tenth Amendment, Article 1?
“Pay the debts and provide the common defense &
general welfare of the united states.”
Welfare = Health care!

It so sad to see the state of our country as a whole. The people who have & can afford health care are wanting to prevent the people who don’t have coverage from getting it. And then what’s really dumb is we as Oklahomans have also joined the in the continual quest watch others struggle with illnesses even unto death because of greed and flat-out self-behavior. Why is it okay for political figures (who have health-care we taxpayers provide) are lying to the people of the state and country. Over 2 million people don’t have coverage, lawmakers do have it & want to keep for the “haves”. Are we sure this is the bible belt? Shame on us!

Good luck as you begin your service in the House.
I am writing in response to Mr. Obama’s budget proposal. I read no mention of cutting aid to other countries. They need to learn to live on their own and not depend on the US for continuing help. Charity begins at home. Also no mention of cutting out his numerous vacations, which we pay for. No Mention of cutting federal employee’s insurance/salaries. We hear many brag and see many of them shopping during work hours as they they nothing to do. No mention of Senate/House using the same insurance plan as we have in Medicare. My husband and I spent an average of $1,075 per month in 2010 for medicare care over and above medicare/insurance payments. On top of that we paid an average of $500 a month for taxes/insurance on our home and cars. It is a blessing that we saved (over 41 years of working). We do this on $2400 a month from SS. We have had to cut out any extra’s except for groceries and utilities. Just do with less.

Thanks for listening
