Billy Coyle puts money into his campaign against James Lankford

Democrat Billy Coyle, put $30,000 of his own money into his congressional campaign last week as he worked on a final push against Republican James Lankford in the 5th District congressional race.
Coyle, an Oklahoma City attorney, has steadfastly maintained that he’s going to win the contest to replace Mary Fallin in Congress. He’s got history against him since the district has been represented by Republicans since 1975, and he’s running in a year that is expected to be very favorable to GOP candidates.
Lankford, of Edmond, has raised more than $1 million; Coyle’s contribution will put him over $300,000. Until last week, Coyle had not put any of his own money into the race.
