In my experience of almost 50 years with a state agency, I have seen quite a few Rep Reynolds, who, when elected to an office, suddenly know everything about everything. Sounds like Auditor Burrage sort of hit the nail on the head. Lies and schmoozing are the order of the day for some of our legislators, and as long as they think that some lowly citizen perceives them as larger than life because of their antics, their actions and words become goofier. The Auditor's office was run by a few legislators for years. Now, that has changed. Good going, Steve!!!

Former BA school superintendent Jim Sisney has yet to present any evidence to back up his claims and had nothing of substance, not one single example, to offer during his December 2009 deposition during the discovery process for his wrongful termination lawsuit against the district, which he asked to have dismissed and it was.

Sisney went to the media in January 2009 and stated that he had uncovered documents, found evidence, and had conversations that showed that, in his words, "criminal activities involving the expenditure of public money have taken place in the school district since at least the 1990’s and a massive cover-up scheme is now under way to keep this information from being disclosed."

If there was any criminal wrongdoing in the BAPS purchasing department, evidently Jim Sisney didn't know anything about it. Read the following excerpt from page 174 of Sisney's deposition given under oath on 12/22/2009 (Kent "Bo" Rainey is the attorney from Rosenstein, Fist & Ringold who represented the school district in Sisney's lawsuit against the BAPS district):

QUOTE

Rainey: What facts do you have that Air Assurance billed the Broken Arrow Public Schools for work that it performed at the request of the Broken Arrow Public Schools?
Sisney: I'm not going to speculate, so I'm going to say I don't know.
Rainey: You don't know any facts as we sit here today?
Sisney: Right.
Rainey: What facts do you have that anybody from Air Assurance ever paid an employee of the school district any money or other benefit in exchange for work being provided by the school district
to Air Assurance?
Sisney: I don't have any personal facts.
Rainey: What facts do you have that Air Assurance engaged in any illegal activities with the Broken Arrow Schools?
Sisney: Is this about Air Assurance or the District?
Rainey: Well, it goes to this whole criminal enterprise that is being asserted throughout your Complaint, so the question is as it was posed. And I'll have the court reporter read it back. (court
reporter repeats question)
Sisney: I don't know.
Rainey: You have no facts you can testify to today?
Sisney: Not today. There's an investigation going on, and I think that's going to determine my assumptions.
Rainey: Investigation by whom?
Sisney: I think it's the OSBI and the state auditor's office.

END QUOTE

Why has the media chosen to ignore this very important information from this publicly available court document, to counter the published claims of Sisney from 2008 and 2009?

It's about time that someone publicly called Reynolds out for his BS. He has repeatedly made false and misleading statements to the press regarding the BAPS district business and the audit. Thank you, Mr. Burrage. I have high hopes that the audit performed on BAPS's financial records is as honest and thorough as your remarks to Reynolds, and that the blame for whatever problems there might be will be placed squarely on the shoulders of those responsible.

Reynolds repeatedly tried to evade being served the subpoena to testify in the defamation lawsuit former Broken Arrow school superintendent Jim Sisney filed against three BA board members, a vendor, and a local optometrist, and when that failed and he was finally successfully served, he tried to avoid testifying by filing a motion to quash the subpoena, but the judge recently ruled his motion was without merit. I can't wait to read his deposition when it becomes available to find out who passed on the confidential personnel documents from Sisney to him. Could it have been Rep. Mike Ritze, who also filed a motion to quash to keep from testifying in the same case, but who will also be required to testify?

Check out Broken Arrow Forum about the controversy that Sisney started in Broken Arrow in 2008, costing Broken Arrow taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees in response to the lawsuits filed against the school district, money that would have been better spent on educating children. The real story is different than Sisney's version of events, which was the side reported in the media.

You'll find court documents and other factual information related to the controversy and the two personal lawsuits that Sisney filed against the district and board members, etc., as well as detailed analysis of events.

There's even more than one section on the site that pertains to Rep. Mike Reynolds and his actions on behalf of Jim Sisney. Just scroll down the main page to read all about it.
