Club for Growth Steps in for Calvey
The Club for Growth Political Action Committee has spent $11,332 on email and mail costs for 5th District congressional candidate Kevin Calvey, an Oklahoma City Republican, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission.
Club for Growth, a Washington-based group that advocates for limited government, endorsed Calvey in his 2006 and 2010 races for Congress, and Calvey has received thousands in donations from the group’s PAC. Now the group is helping in Calvey’s runoff campaign against James Lankford.
According to the FEC filings, the PAC spent money on July 29 and 30 and on Aug. 4 and 6 on Calvey’s behalf.
