Kansas Senate Race Divided Coburn, Inhofe

Oklahoma’s U.S. senators backed different candidates in the Kansas Republican primary for the open U.S. Senate seat, and Sen. Tom Coburn’s candidate came out ahead on Tuesday.
Rep. Jerry Moran narrowly defeated congressional colleague Todd Tiahrt for the nomination to replace Sen. Sam Brownback, a Republican running for governor.
Coburn, R-Muskogee, backed Moran, as did U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint.
Inhofe, along with Sarah Palin, were backing Tiahrt.
Moran has reportedly lived at the C Street House in Washington, where Coburn shares digs with other lawmakers in a townhouse linked to the Christian group that helps organize the National Prayer Breakfast each year.
