Roy Files Quarterly Campaign Finance Report … With Mistakes

Republican Johnny Roy of Edmond, who is running for the 5th District congressional race, raised $45,000 from April to July 7, with $30,000 coming from his own funds, according to an overdue report filed with the Federal Election Commission.
The report shows Roy loaned himself another $15,000 and donated $15,000. He had $87,334 in the bank when the period ended.
The report doesn’t make a whole lot of sense in a couple of sections. Though the campaign reported $45,100 in receipts in the last period alone, it says $33,455 has been raised in the entire election cycle.…

The Government Accountability Office sent a letter to Sen. Tom Coburn today saying that it could not figure out how much Justice Department grant money goes to recreational activities (such as sports programs to prevent juvenile delinquency).
