Coburn, Inhofe Oppose Financial Reform Bill
Oklahoma Sens. Tom Coburn and Jim Inhofe, both Republicans, voted this morning against moving forward on a bill to tighten regulations on financial institutions. The motion to advance the bill was approved by a vote of 60-38. The only Democrat voting against it was Sen. Russ Feingold, of Wisconsin. After clearing the hurdle in the Senate today, the bill is expected to be approved by the Senate and signed by the president.
