Second day of filing for candidates starts slow
It’s a little more leisurely pace at candidate filing this morning. So far the candidates have been trickling in. About 20 candidates have filed so far this morning.
Yesterday was a big day for filing.
Five candidates filed for governor. Two democrats, Lt. Gov. Jari Aksins and Attorney General Drew Edmondson have filed. Three Republicans have filed, U.S. Rep. Mary Fallin, state Sen. Randy Brogdon, R-Owasso, and retired Oklahoma City businessman Roger Jackson. Only one candidate has filed for attorney general, Democrat Jim Priest.
See who else filed and the color in our story.
You can also keep up with filing throughout the day by checking on the election board’s Website. We’ll also be updating throughout the day on the blog and on our Twitter feed @newsokpolitics.
