Most of these accusations of racial slurs are false. The Left builds itself on victimhood and identity politics, which is fueled off of playing the race card. Hate to break it to some of you, but the notion sweeping across America is a notion of the hardline right-wing. You know the Left is in trouble when places like New Jersey and Mass are electing conservative Republicans. The race card is officially dead and people everywhere (North and South) are no longer buying it. It’s time for politicians and elected officials to focus on genuine issues and forget about racism, sexism, classism, ageism and all other “isms” out there. Racism, sexism, etc will always be around in all nations of all races. Keeping the race card alive is basically futile.

I agree with Madill Blk Mn. It’s one thing to not like the issues, but it’s another thing when you use what’s going on now as an excuse to manifest your racism. And what’s really sad is that many of them don’t realize just how transparent they’re being. This country has vehemently disagreed with our past presidents on things, but I have never ever seen someone take the liberty to call our president a liar in the middle of a televised address to the nation. Not until this president (the first African American president). That respect for the office he holds just isn’t there for a lot of white people, and the main reason for that is simply because of the color of his skin. STOP lying to yourselves and making excuses for yourselves and face that fact. YOUR actions are speaking much louder than your words.

IN MY OPINION ALL OF THIS TEA PARTY NONSENCE IS JUST A COVER UP FOR UNHAPPY GROUP OF PEOPLE THAT CAN’T ACCEPT THE FACT THAT THERE IS AN AFRICAN AMERICAN PRESIDENT IN OFFICE. EVEN IN CONGRESS THE REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMAN FROM SOUTH CAROLINA THOUGHT IT WAS OK TO DISRESPECT OUR PRESIDENT BECAUSE OF HIS SKIN COLOR. NO OTHER PRESIDENT EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH SUCH DISRESPECT. THE THING THAT BOTHERS ME IS THAT THE PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY ARE JUST SETTING IDLEY BY WHILE THESE THINGS ARE HAPPENING. THIS IS NOT A BLACK OR WHITE THING, ITS AN AMERICAN THING. ALL YOU SO CALLED AMERICAN PATRIOTS SHOULD THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE TEACHING YOUR CHILDREN. WAKE UP PEOPLE. THE WORLD IS WATCHING OUR EVERY STEP. THESE SO CALLED TEA PARTY PEOPLE ARE BRINGING THEIR REAL FEELINGS TO LIGHT WITH THIS STUPIDITY. SOMEONE ON TV MENTIONED THAT THE WORD RACISM SHOULD BE DELETED FROM ALL DICTIONARIES BUT I SAY LOOK AGAIN. THESE PEOPLE STILL DONT SEE PRES OBAMA AS THE SITTING PRES OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. I’M A VETERAN OF FOREIGN WARS AND IT KILLS ME TO SEE THIS. ESPECIALLY THE FACT THAT SO MANY AFRICAN AMERICANS HAVE SERVED AND DIED IN THIS COUNTRY’S ARMED FORCES. ANOTHER HARSH FACT IS THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY THAT HATE US FOR NO REASON EXCEPT THAT OUR ANCESTERS BEAT SLAVERY, MADE CIVIL RIGHTS HAPPEN, AND WOULD NOT TAKE A BACK SEAT TO ANY GROUP OR RACE OR WHATEVER. The problem is people that take this lightly or comical will sweep it under the road the problem with the republicans is they have been trying to change things by intimidation and fear we all know what fear did to Hitler the monster was afaid of the jews so much he thought they all need to die and tried to convince the world of this it comes out but sometimes we wait to long to get involved so it is not one party over the other it is americans and what is best for us. we will pay taxs for now on so what can we do with this money that is any better then spending some on our own people we do it with the old with medicare and the real poor with medicade but the middle have to go with out basic stuff why not no one is going to dry up and blow away

We as Oklahomans should be ashamed of our politicians like Mary Fallon on the balconey next to people with signs yelling kill and holding flags up that say things racial slurs ,sexual overtures towards oters and baisicaly trying to incite a riot this is childish and imature and unbecomming of anyone much less the people we vote for I for one will not vote for this type of person to be govenor of the state of Oklahoma I will put my support with some one that will not act this way and I also want some one that will not be a lame duck in the water like we have now

While the comments made by these protestors was wrong and should be denounced, I find the whining here comical. Wasn’t it just a couple of years ago when liberal protestors were doing the exact same thing? You’re complaining about Hitler mustaches being painted on pictures of Obama? How many liberals were calling GW Bush a nazi and worse for eight years? How many of you liberals complaining now were complaining about those protestors then? What a bunch of hypocrites you are!!

These hypocritical republican troglodytes are imploding the republican party. Painting Hitleresque mustaches on Obama while yelling racial and homophobic slurs at Congressmen? Spitting? Overall, I think most republicans are upset and poorly represented by this growing band of extremists. Somebody on the Right needs to exercise some damage control by taking the party back before the GOP loses more credibility. Remember Edmond Burke…William F. Buckley and the days of sound fiscal policy?

I agree and everything you said is right on the mark. I lived thru that time and think those kinds of feelings have just been surpressed. Yes I can see the era happening all over again. The only the omitted are the water hoses. It matters not what excuse is given nor how bad we hate to admit what the real protest is about. They aren’t protesting the health care bill and if you asked those protestors what just one item this bill will address they couldn’t give you one to save their souls. The thing that bothers me is the stupid outburst and hateful remarks serves one purpose and that is to divide the people of this great nation. The same seators and representatives that pretend to care so much about our health care have been in a position to do something about it for years and made the chose of lining their pockets with money from special interest groups rather than taking care of the people who put them in office. How Oklahomans don’t or won’t see that just really has me disheartened. The Rush Limbaughs, his co-hearts and Fox network stated at the beginning of President Obama’s term that they would watch everything he says and does and would actively look for anything to discredit him. He is the President not to a few America’s but the whole country.
Do we not understand that the whole world is looking at us and we think someone will see us as leaders in the free world? I think not.

I myself am wondering why there isn’t more outrage over this. I was very upset when I heard about it Saturday and honestly had a hard time sleeping. Are we going to have to put up with this kind of behavior from the tea party? Or do we start insisting on some kind of decorum?
