Coburn Makes GQ's Power List

Sen. Tom Coburn made GQ’s list of the 50 most powerful people in Washington, one of the few lawmakers to make the cut.
And it didn’t even mention that he’s always well dressed.
The comparison to Jesse Helms seems unfortunate since, despite whatever else Helms stood for and accomplished in his Senate career, the late North Carolina Republican is typically remembered now for his racial politics and anti-gay agenda.

Senator Coburn has made a name for himself not only as a Senator but even a Religious leader/Doctor. Just think how backward our country would be with his views. He protects Senator Ensign cheating on his wife, he see’s no problem with sterilization of woman with consent, denies Veterans Benefits while dodging the Vietnam War himself. He was outraged by the Holocust movie only to bow with an apolozy when the Jewish Law Makers protested his hurtful comments. Yes and today Senator Coburn spoke of the 2007 waste/fraud done by the Bush Adminstration and the Republican Party. Now the real reason Senator Coburn is fighting tooth an nail this Health Care Bill because he will no longer be able to overcharge clients and milk the Government for medicial cost. Senator Coburn has always put his greed and need ahead of the people he was elected to represent. Now the worse nightmare for the US is if Senator Coburn is re elected and worse if he were ever President.
