I was so embarrassed that the senator of my ancestors home state never said anything of substance. We live in a difficult world. Our leaders need to have ideas even if I don't agree with them, at least they will offer something of substance. I am so saddened that OK leaders spout the same tired political lines. They play to get elected rather than what is best for the state and the country, This is true often across the political spectrum, but my ancestors were better than this, and they would have let you know how they felt about issues, and fought hard for what they believed, not as our senators just sit there and try to trip up people who have at least done some thinking. My great great grandfather would be so upset to see what OK has turned into, a scared state, fearful of everything which looks "ungodly" or says government on it. If Okies don't want government, then eliminate medicare and medicaid, stop federal support of schools...stop all wars, they are certainly supported by government. Fight your own battles. You can't have it both ways, and a little thought on these topics would go a long way.
