I’m a big Bradford fan, but shouldn’t the house of representatives be working on something a little more important?

I see our elected officials are busy at work fighting terrorism and fixing the economy. Great priorities, Ms. Failin!

Scott, I was about to type that EXACT statement.

I hope the vote goes along school lines…lol!

Only thing I might add is “send a copy to Mack Brown, and Colt McCoy, University of Texas”.
Yeah, what a waste of taxpayers money, Mary!

Great points, Scott & Jeff! The hour they spent on this could have been used to solve the economy problems and fight terrorism. Dag Nabit! And just think…you almost typed the same thing. If Jeff had typed about 8 minutes faster, it would have been at the exact time, too. You know what they say…minds think alike. Oh, I’m sorry, that would be “great minds think alike.”

Let’s go a bit further on this. Good for Sam for winning the Heisman and getting Oklahoma to the BCS game. But he’s being told to “throw it to this guy. Throw it to that guy. Hand it off” — and the guy doing it is a coach getting paid millions. Millions to coach a friggin’ football team. Some 60 people in Tulsa lost their jobs today and have to figure out how to put food on the table. Same goes for Gundy in Stillwater.
Know what? They’ll probably get a raise this year, too.

How about this, Good job Sam Bradford. Glad to see you do so well in college football. Thank you State House members for recognizing a great student athlete.

I like Sam, and love the Sooners. But you have to be absolutely kidding me. Really?! Mary Fallin and the other members have nothing more important to do? Sam Bradford is a great example of the best that college athletics has to offer, and has been recognized as such. I hope the State House finds time in its busy hectic schedule to accomplish something meaningful and fruitful for those people who struggle to survive in these tough times…

Even congresspersons need a break to deal with something positive….

Seriously? I am a huge Bradford fan and a diehard Sooner, but should these idiots be getting some WORK done? ya’ll voted for her. She’s a complete bimbo.

hey beanhead more like bonehead, if you knew anything about college football or football in general its alot more than throw it to that guy or hand it off to that guy, sure they tell him what play to run but he has to read the defense and find the right guy to give the ball to he has to make the play he has to make the right decision, and the reason Stoops makes millions is because he has won 6 Big 12 championships and 1 national title in 10 years sounds pretty good to me, maybe if you did your job that well you wouldnt have to worry about losing your job. Great job Sam and Bob Stoops dont listen to these idiots who dont know a darn thing about collegiate sports.

Good lord. Scott, Jeff… take that stick out of your… You all didn’t play sports did you? and where did you find the time in your busy schedule saving the world to comment? Rev, I couldn’t have said it better. If you had ever been a part of a winning team, you would know that they do this for all High School teams that win State. I have 2 resolutions/accommodations… one for winning Football in ’88 and one for winning Wrestling in ’90. I even got to go waste 2 hours of the Senate’s time and meet them when they handed ours out… Anyways get a life.

And congrats to Sam!

Mary Fallin,

You are pathetic. Get a frickin’ clue. You just lost my vote because you are stupid. Please learn what is important to people and what is not.

I agree with all of the above. If that is what preoccupies Ms. Fallin on the House floor, she should get a life and resign her office.

Come on people, this is nothing new. States have been passing these kind of “resolutions” for years to commend people who do various things. Tim Tebow had one last year.
Besides, I am positive this was drafted by some low level aides.

Seriously, this is the best that or Representatives can do. Not matter which side of the stimulus you are on you have a job to, besides that we have two wars going on, Gitmo, 1/2 million jobs gone in January alone, the highways suck (still) and education from pre-K to college is under funded and you still have time to pat Braddie on the ass, give me a break.
