Sam Bradford’s Bedlam Flip

Some of you may have seen the flip in the air by OU quarterback Sam Bradford in the third quarter of the Bedlam football game between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. It ws awesome to see in person and made some cool pictures. Chris Landsberger captured this series as OSU’s Orie Lemon forces Bradford out at the one-yard line. Check it out:

OU fans stick around for Texas Tech

OU looked pretty good against Nebraska on Sunday. And there were lots of great action photos. This picture, however, is the one I find most interesting. As the football game against the Huskers ended, the battle between Texas and Texas Tech in Lubbock was coming down to the wire. Hundreds of Sooner fans stuck around to watch the Red Raiders defeat the Longhorns on the televisions that hang throughout Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. The race for the Big 12 South just got very interesting.OU Fans root for Texas Tech

As the annual big football game between OU and Texas approaches, I thought I’d post some pictures from previous years. The set today is of the fans. Although the action of the game is always good, the fans really make the atmosphere.

By the way, the woman in the above photo, Jan Gillespie, is such a vocal fan that we seem to get great pictures of her every year. I put a second picture of her in this collection because her screaming is just that good. Enjoy.

Was not much of a challenge

Well the return trip to the Northwest was much better for the Sooners this timearound. Was not much of a challenge for them in the 55-14 rout. All in all was probably a good trip for the team to go on the road and dominate a team likethey did on Saturday. Nate Billings and I have had a good trip so far, Seattle is a great city, and letme tell you the Washington fans have the best tailgating set up I have ever seen.Tailgating

OU Football Returns to the Northwest

Well it is two years after the Sooner fiasco in Oregon that led fans to make t-shirts and signs showing their disgust.Bob StoopsOklahoma Football Now, just like two years ago, the Sooners are 2-0 on the Friday before the team makes a return trip to the Great Northwest to take on Washington in Seattle. From what I understand a city and state that is very fond of the Sooner Nation.OKC Thunder NBA  OU has a lot to prove on its first road trip of the year, so it should make for an interesting game. I have packed my gear, and I am preparing to meet fellow photographer Nate Billings at the airport to fly out for our trip to cover the game. Nate and I will check in from time to time to update the our travel progress and provide some visuals along the way.
