We get some wind here in North Dakota but wind and fire really can do some damage.

huh that is so funny, Well tragic that their houses burned down but i love the fact the firefighters can see the importance of saving a beautiful car especially during a time of chaos. I hope no one got hurt trying to save their classic.

During the wildfires, firefighters would roll cars (many of which were classic cars stored by homeowners) out of the garages of the houses that were burning to save them. So, in a few places it created a strange scene where you had the only thing not charred on a property being a beautiful car.

Wow This is a crazy story and some amazing pictures, but what is with the random beautiful yellow truck in perfect condition that is on a couple of these pictures?

First Thank you to all the brave men and women that make up the fire departments. It is heart-wrenching to see and hear all that is going on in my Home state while I am away. I miss everyone and truly appreciate the sacrifices of our bravest heroes. Thank you.

Hey~ That is my brothers house burning in the top photo with the yellow classic Ford out front. They lost EVERYTHING except that truck. The neighbor and a firefighter broke down the side garage door and rolled the truck out before it caught fire. My Dad said one of the back tail lights got a little melted.

While listening to the latest reports on Okla wildfires, your newsman mentioned a map showing fire locations where we could click on a location to get the most current info. I have been trying to find this on the website and am having problems. Could you please help me?

I was very interested in this article because I lived in Midwest City from 1984 through 2005. I was assigned to Tinker while in the military and then when I retired I worked in the Main Post Office in OKC for 16 years. I actually lived in Windsong addition just off SE 15th between Post Road and Westminster. I still have friends in Windsong and Oakwood East.
