Couple celebrates marriage at a reception in Oklahoma City

Maggie and Jeremiah Mayfield, Dallas, Tx.,were honored at a reception on Aug. 21 given by his parents, Karen and Carroll Mayfield.
The party was in Karen and Carroll Mayfield’s Val Verde home where musicians played and dozens of pink roses decorated the dessert table that was filled with homemade fudge and cakes. Pink chiffon, satin and organdy materials decorated the buffet table where a shrimp and pasta dinner was set up.
The Dallas couple celebrated their marriage which was July 31 in Vail, Colo.
Among those at the party were Barbara and Ralph Thompson, Helen and Ralph Mason, Barbara and Dick Kerrick, Karen and Roger Dahlgren, Blake Dahlgren, Pat and Terry Hare, Cheryl and Mike Johnson, Pat and Ray Broadfoot, Jackie and Ted Wolfe and Helen and David Cotten.
Colorado College President honored in Oklahoma City

Dick Celeste, President of Colorado College, Colorado Springs, Colo., was in town recently to see current students and their families and to talk to college alumni and prospective students for the Oklahoma City area.
Heather and Bob Ross were hosts for a party for the group.
Special guests were counselors from Casady School, Heritage Hall, Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School, Santa Fe South and KIPP Enterprise School.

AWARDS GIVEN TO FIVE ALUMS
Former Casady School students and members of the alumni group received 2008 Alumni Awards at a recent reception at the school.
They were Clay Bennett (class of 1978)-Distinguished Graduate; John H. Montgomery (class of 1959), Charles E. Nelson II(class of 1988), Robert H. Nelson (class of 1993)- Alumni Achievement Awards. Also Molly Wizenberg (class of 1997)-Young Alumni Achievement Award.
150 people were there at the party given by members of the board of directors of the Casady School Alumni Association headed by Kelly Gentry, president.
Other activities during the weekend included an alumni picnic, homecoming activities featuring a football game with Holland Hall and the 50 year banquet and the Casady Club.

A reception honored Druanne and David Durrett who were married March 18 in Palm Springs, Ca. Hosts were his parents, Barbara and Bill Durrett.
The bride wore a black and white dress and an orchid corsage. Guests mingled in the Rotunda of Quail Creek Golf and Country Club and sampled the fabulous buffet set up downstairs. Daisies, hydrangeas, mini-mums and ferns were on all the tables.
Among the party guests were Becky and Luke Corbett, Rita and Jim Litton, Marilyn and Gene Torbett, Lyn Elam, Shirley and Phil Martin and the couple’s family members.
