The Seventy Five Club Holiday Dinner Dance was at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club and 240 people were there.
Women wore festive dresses and some men had on Christmas bow ties with their tuxes. Tables were decorated with bouquets of glitzy pink poinsettias.
The band was the nine-member group called “The Wise Guys” .

Parties extra! Kirsten Cash Is Honored at Shower—December 4, 2008

A come and go baby shower was given for Kirsten Cash who with her husband, Dr. Ross Cash, is having a baby boy. They have three daughters.
It was in the home of Jenny Kalsu in the Oakdale Meadow Addition. Hostesses were Shelly Lambertz, Michelle Ponder, Lauri Gormley, Mary Beth Griffing, Kim Collins, Amy Feuerborn, Kimberly Ross, Melissa Santoro and Kristin Racz.
Red bandana invitations were sent out for the little “buckaroo.” Cowboy boot vases with flowers and colored paper, cowboy hats and sherif badges and bandanas decorated the house.

90 YEARS

The University of Oklahoma Delta Gamma sorority celebrated the 90th year of Delta Gamma Sorority during a weekend of events.
Linda Cohn, ESPN anchor and journalist, talked during the Delta Gamma Foundation Lectureship on Values and Ethics at the Oklahoma Memorial Union in Norman.
A reception honored her at Delta Gamma Sorority’s chapter house.
At Nonna’s Restaurant in Oklahoma City, members had a party and there was a silent auction.
Members bought chapter house prints by Greg Burns. Saturday, sorority alumni and collegiates met for a sing-a-long, dinner and house tour prior to the University of Oklahoma- Texas Tech University football game.
Leah Barksdale, LeAnn Harmon, Jodee Mashek and Christine Cleveland were at the party.

BALL SET FOR DECEMBER 22

Members of the Oklahoma City Bachelor’s Club have selected thirty young women to make their formal debuts at the 63rd annual Bachelors Club Christmas Ball on Dec. 22 at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.
They are Hilary Lynne Barwick, Alexandria Grace Benear, Elizabeth Bridges Black , Catherine Alexandra Butts, Haley Anne Clark, Greer Marguerite Colton, Ruby Katherine Coyle, Jordan Elizabeth Dean, Janell Law Fryer, Elizabeth Leigh Geren, McGuire Neal Hall, Hannah Meryl Smith Hirsch, Jane Elizabeth Hosman and Eleanor Anne Isaacs.
Also Karoline Maureen Knapp, Kailey Nicole Limber, Lindsay Jordan Lucas, Courtney Martin, Katherine Ladd Matlock, Mary Leigh McCoy, Lauren Aubrey McIntyre, Sarah Kaitlyn Medley, Lauren Elizabeth Oakley, Annabelle Candler Porter, Sarah Duston Rainbolt, Margaret Caskey Salyer, Brittany Elizabeth Sanger, Taylor Noel Self, Cathleen Lydia Shelby and Katylee Strange.
Each debutante, at the black- tie event, will be escorted by a member of the Bachelors Club. The Ball will begin at 8 p.m. and the presentation is at 9 p.m.
After the debs are presented, guests will dance to the music of Souled Out and the evening will conclude with a late breakfast.

The Bachelor’s Club of Oklahoma City was founded in 1938 by a group of young men who wished to promote the social and philanthropic undertakings as well as leadership in the Oklahoma City area. The debutante presentation began in 1945 as a way to raise funds for various Oklahoma City charities.
The Oklahoma Coalition against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (OCADVSA) will be the recipient of the charitable proceeds of this year’s ball, which was decided on by the Bachelors Club of Oklahoma City and Taylor Fudge, the club’s current president. The Bachelors Club of Oklahoma City has raised more than $650,000 for local charities through its annual Christmas Ball.

The event was in the Sable Room of the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club. Hosts told stories about the honoree’s involvement in the community.

CELEBRATING 65 WITH OSBORNE ELECTRIC

Johnny McCharen hosted a 65th Anniversary Celebration for Osborne Electric Co. at the Oklahoma History Center.
Two tables were filled with sandwiches, cheese tortes, meatballs, chicken wraps, desserts and wine and beer were served in glasses with the company logo. Guests took the glasses home as a party favor.
There was also a newspaper telling the history of the company and about the founder John McCharen jr. who was one of the early partners.

A 70th birthday party honored Bill Majors recently.
Hosts were family members Audrey and Keith Seeliger, Dodge Nichols, Carey Sue and Ricardo Vega and Billy Vega in the Vega home.
A crystal bowl was arranged with arranged roses, freesia, berries, hydrangeas, carnations and a candle. The cake was shaped like a cigar with Bill and wife Rosalie’s cattle brand on the cigar band. Guests included Maya, Michael, Sydney and Mike Crothers, Joli, Jenna, Josie and John Crothers, Cindy Yost and Dona Thralls.
In lieu of gifts, guests made donations to their local FFA chapters.

Parties Extra – Kappa Alpha Theta, Flaming Festival.
The 52nd annual Flaming Festival is set for November 12 at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. There will be 40 decorated tables set up by Kappa Alpha Theta Alumni members and area merchants.
There is also a luncheon and Charles Faudree will be guest speaker. Proceeds benefit CASA and the Food 4 Kids program. Ranell Brown and Betsy White are co-chairmen.
