]]> Ten journalists were inducted into the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame recently at the University of Central Oklahoma Nigh University Center. They were Jim Ellis,  Christy Gaylord Everest,  Gerald C. Green, Neal Kennedy, Stan Stamper, James D. Watts jr., Faith L. Wylie and  John M. Wylie II,  and both William “Bill” Morgan and Anthony Shadid, posthumously.  The honorees, all veteran journalists, gave relevant remarks, when they were introduced, about their chosen career paths.

It was the 42nd annual ceremony and Mark Thomas, Oklahoma Press Association, was master of ceremonies. Also on the program were Dr. Don Betz, UCO President,  and Dr. Terry M. Clark, Director, Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame.

Christy Everest and friends, Barbara Beeler, Linda James and Chris Purcell.

Alan Herzberger, Sharon Bycko, Lexi Smith and Donna Valentine were also at The Oklahoman table.

 Colin and Mary FitzSimons, Jimmy and Christy Everest, Tricia Everest were at the event. Christy Gaylord Everest, former chairman and chief executive for the “Oklahoma Publishing Company,   was one of the honorees at the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame.
