Choo Choo: When Nolan Sanger celebrated his 3rd birthday recently, his parents, Angie and Ford Sanger, used a train theme. He loved it, since he is totally into trains of all kinds.

All aboard: Friends and family members were invited to the Spaghetti Warehouse where a party train was already in place. Cookies and a fondant cake were shaped like trains; cups and plates featured the train; people brought train books, and train items, and party favors were train whistles. Grandparents Ann and Don Jacobson brought a train outfit for Nolan, compete with a conductor’s cap.

The invitation: The invitation stated the departure date, arriving time, boarding time, and noted that guests had “first class seats.” Drawing on the invitation was, what else, but a darling train.

Nolan loves birthday balloons!

Nolan Monroney Sanger celebrated his first birthday at home with family members. Mom and Dad, Angie and Ford Monroney  Sanger, surprised him. When he woke up from his nap, his cousins, aunts and uncles and grandparents were there (all bearing birthday gifts!)

He loved it! His birthday cupcake was an all- new treat for him and his gifts included other new items…a bathing suit, child’s jungle gym, cars, tee shirts and other toys that made lots of noise…(he appreciated  everything…including the sacks, boxes and tissue paper.)

Among those at the party were Emily Jacobson, Ann and Don Jacobson, Lillie-Beth Brinkman and children, Bennett, Ella and Ramey; Lee-Ann and Stephen Graham and children, Cal Henry and Bryan; Linda and Steve Cooke and daughter, Whitney, Suellen and Fenton Sanger.

The next day he was baptized by Dr. Randy C. Scraper at the Nichols Hills United Methodist Church and the Ford Sangers entertained at a brunch for family members following the ceremony.

All in all, it was a Nolan weekend!

Nolan was not sure what to do….

He had his cousins helping him and telling him he would prefer chocolate cupcakes.

Actually, these cousins followed Nolan’s every move….if he played, they played, if he had a cupcake, they watched. They are Cal Henry Graham, Ella Brinkman, Bryan Graham, Bennett Brinkman and Ramey Brinkman.

Birthday party decor….complete with lots of cupcakes and candy in jars, boxes of animal crackers, cokes, spinach dip and chicken nuggets.
