At the Mix: Art By The Ounce party attendees voted for the local mixologist they deemed the year’s best after trying out their speciality drinks. They voted with their ticket and via Twitter (each drink was given a # hashtag). The party was at The Exchange on Film Row.
“Mixologists are bartenders who specialize in creating cocktail recipes. Mixology has gained momentum as a serious art form in recent years,” Erica Reid, director of events for The Exchange. “Our goals with this event are to celebrate the creativity of Oklahomans who are passionate about elevating our city’s entertainment offerings, and to draw attention to the Film Row renaissance.”
Menu items included smoked beef tenderloin, seared ahi tuna, and smoked Portobello mushrooms, as well as dessert sushi of rice crispy roll with chocolate ganache and strawberries.
DJ Sir Martin provided the music.
Becky Leath with Boulevard Steakhouse & Martini Lounge won the drink contest with the WTF Martini.
