Margaret and Art Hoge entertained members of the Kiwanis Club of Oklahoma City. It was a party which had been called off during the snowy weather and re-scheduled last week.

DOWNTOWN KIWANIS CLUB

Members of the Downtown Kiwanis Club had the 86th annual Children’s Outing and Picnic for the Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children and Boys Ranch. It was for 90 children and their cottage parents at White Water.
The outing was followed by the Kiwanians grilling burgers and hotdogs at the Boys Ranch campus. Bob Sonnenfeld made and bagged his famous caramel corn for each child.
In 1923, members took the group to the park and provided food entertainment for them.

SPECIAL DAY

Members of the Kiwanis Club of Oklahoma City had the annual Valentine luncheon for couples, singles, friends and guests at The Petroleum Club.
Entertainers were Tim Turner and Tom Nix. Each person there received a treat….. red roses for the women and Godiva chocolate candy for the men.
Beverly Woodrome is president of the group.

Members of the downtown Kiwanis Club of Oklahoma City had a tailgate party at Sportsman’s Country Club.
Fletcher Williams brought a sound system and margarita machine. Guest speaker was The Oklahoman’s Multimedia Editor Mike Koehler.
Guests wore OU red and OSU orange.
Committee members were Williams, Judge Noma Gurich, Lucien Jones, John Covington, Miki Farris and Randall Stoner. Beverly Woodrome is president.
Among the club’s projects are college CKI groups at OU and OCU; three high school Key Clubs at Bishop McGuinness, Classen SAS and Emerson; a middle school Builder’s club at CSAS. They have also had an annual picnic for Baptist Children’s Home for 85 years; rung the Salvation Army bells at Christmas for 90 years, and co-sponsored with OK Lawyers, a Reading Buddies program at Carver Mark Twain Head Start.
