 Members of the Pi Beta Phi and Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae met in the home of Casey Williams for a joint meeting. They brought children’s books for various community organizations as the two groups share a focus on literacy as a national philanthropy.

Hostesses were Williams, Susan Drake, Kathy Brown, Whitney Moss and Katie Treadwell, Kappa members. This is an annual event and the groups trade hostess duties.

 There were Pi Phi arrow cookies and Kappa key cookies for the guests. Napkins and cups had the logo of “Monmouth Duo” since both groups were founded in Monmouth, Ill.

Members of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association met in the home of Jane Lauderdale. They gave a  check to the Payne Education Center. The money is from Premiere card sales and also the sponsorship of “Teacher/Educator/Parent Lecture “Reading Blocks Unlocked.”

Hostesses were Ann Covington, Katie Treadwell, Whitney Scones, Kara Locke, Mary Jan Lauderdale, Heather Ferreyro and Crystal Hardberger.

Among the guests were Louise Valuck, Erin Nation, Ramona Paul, Hailee Holliday, Kelli Hayward, Carrie Strickland, Kay Musser, Carole McClendon, Kitty Champlin, Jana Herritt, Kathryn Johnson, Mary Lillard, Stella Portman, Kathy McCraw, Phyllis Morrow, Marilyn Orr.

Members of the Kappa Kappa Gamma and Pi Beta Phi sorority alumni groups met in the home of Susan Drake to celebrate their joint founding at Monmouth College in Manmouth, Ill. Co-hostesses were Amy Edwards, Kathy Brown and Casey Williams.

Flower-covered keys for the Kappas and arrows for the Pi Phis (keys and arrows are sorority symbols) were hanging from the dining room chandelier. They were covered in lime green and hot pink mums, pink stock and light blue hydrangeas. The centerpiece was a flower-bedecked cake on a white stand. The cake featured flowers used for the keys and arrows and pink and white roses, white orchids and pink tulips. Sugar cookies were in the shape of keys and arrows.

Among the people at the party were  Marilyn Meade, Mary Ann Haskins, Anne Gray, Judy Worsham, Jan Smith, Kay Smith, Beth Hammack, Margo Ward, Whitney Moss, Erin Nation, Dena Keel, Carole McClendon, Kay Goebel, Ramona Paul, Kay Salyer, Elizabeth Miller, Donna Lawrence, Kay Bass, Kitty Champlin, Betsy Hyde, Joanna Champlin, Betty Huckabay, Patti Leeman, Chris Verity, Lu Garrison, Mary Kay Bullard, Ann Cameron, Betty Crow, Betsy Daugherty, Janie Law and Betty Jo Law.

Oklahoma City area alumni members of Pi Beta Phi and Kappa Kappa Gamma sororities met for a joint meeting in the home of Nancy Ellis.

Both sororities were founded at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Ill. They celebrated that fact.
