At the annual YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City annual meeting and celebration, local volunteers were recognized and the new Y Board Chairman, David Thompson, was welcomed.  Thompson follows David Harlow.

250 people were at the event and Ford Price received Volunteer of the Year. He has been a member of the Y’s Board of Directors since 2005.  He has been a member of the Investment Committee, the Nominating Committee and the Executive Committee.  He served as Chairman of the Annual Community Support Campaign in 2008.

21 other volunteers from 10 metro locations were recognized for their service. Awards included Youth Sports Coach of the Year, Family of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Service to Youth and the Spirit-Mind-Body Award.
