Casady School alums meet in Dallas

There was a reception for Casady School 25 alumni in the home of Alyson and Ben Woodard in Dallas.
Head of School Chris Bright, Associate Head of School David Gorham, Director of Institutional Advancement Aaron James and Director of Alumni Relations Betty Jane Garrett were special guests.
Guests received party favors with the Casady logo including a large Casady cup, mouse pad and Casady Alumni car decal. Food was from Zoe’s Kitchen in Snider Plaza in Dallas and centerpieces were from New Leaf Floral in OKC.
Guests included: Amy Cooke, Tiffany and Brad Davis, Betty Jane Garrett, Jennifer and Robert Goodno, David Gorham, Drew Hoffman, Sylvia and Michael Hood, Aaron James, Cristy and David McAtee, Therese and Amit Mehta, Patrick Rooney, Josh Sepkowitz, Chris Stakem, Doyle Tunnell, Alyson and Ben Woodard and Erin and Coler Yoakam.

Homecoming Activities set for Oklahoma City’s Casady School
HOMECOMING WEEK
Dr. John R. Bozalis will receive the Casady School Distinguished Graduate award at a Alumni Awards dinner on October 8 at 6:00 p.m. in Calvert Hall on the Casady Campus.
Terry Stuart Forst and Dr. Marcia Meiring will be honored that night for Alumni Achievement and Mary Payne Moran will receive the Young Alumni Achievement award.
Classes graduating 50 years ago or more from Casady will also be recognized at the Alumni Awards Dinner and 50-Year Banquet with a special Golden Cyclone gift. The classes of 1959 and 1954 have scheduled reunion activities during homecoming week.

Homecoming activities kick off with the ” Breaking New Ground at Casady” ceremony celebrating the expansion of the chapel and first steps toward construction of the new math facility on October 7 at 8:30 a.m.

ALUMNI ATTEND PICNIC

130 alumni members had a picnic recently on the Casady School campus. People came from the 1969, 1974, 1984 and 1999 classes.
Since the party was located on the grounds between the Lower and Middle Division buildings, everyone could see impending construction of the math building and the chapel addition.

Luncheon/Dinner held at Casady School
OU PRESIDENT BOREN IS KEYNOTE SPEAKER

University of Oklahoma President David L. Boren gave the keynote speech at the joint luncheon with the Casady School board of visitors and the Alumni Association’s Casady Club at the school. Parents, grandparents and alumni also attended the event on April 17.
Lunch was served in Calvert Hall.

Ed Cook, Max Weitzenhoffer, Annie Bohanon, Kaye Cook were at the luncheon in Calvert Hall.
PATRONS HONORED

Ragon Gentry, Jim and Jill Brown, Taylor Currie were at the party.
On April 16, Patrons who contributed $1000. or more to the Casady School’s annual fund in 2009 were honored at a special appreciation dinner, night of entertainment and celebration of the arts.
The event featured student artwork, sculptures as table centerpieces, and choral, musical and orchestral presentations. 150 guests attended.
Special guests were members of the Casady’s board of visitors.

Allie Mott, Mary McLain and MacKenzie Walker were at Casady’s Evening of the Arts.
Parties Extra!—November 2, 2008—Casady Graduates Honored
AWARDS GIVEN TO FIVE ALUMS
Former Casady School students and members of the alumni group received 2008 Alumni Awards at a recent reception at the school.
They were Clay Bennett (class of 1978)-Distinguished Graduate; John H. Montgomery (class of 1959), Charles E. Nelson II(class of 1988), Robert H. Nelson (class of 1993)- Alumni Achievement Awards. Also Molly Wizenberg (class of 1997)-Young Alumni Achievement Award.
150 people were there at the party given by members of the board of directors of the Casady School Alumni Association headed by Kelly Gentry, president.
Other activities during the weekend included an alumni picnic, homecoming activities featuring a football game with Holland Hall and the 50 year banquet and the Casady Club.

Casady School’s 10th Headmaster Installed—Parties Extra!—October 13, 2008
NEW HEADMASTER
Christopher C. Bright and Johnson Hightower
Christopher C. Bright was installed Casady School’s 10th headmaster, an installation ceremony on Sept. 25 in the Chapel of St. Edward the Confessor on the Casady campus. Rev. Edward J. Konieczny, Bishop of Oklahoma, presided. A reception in his honor followed the event.
Joseph J. Ferretti, Ph.D., senior vice president and provost of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and internationally recognized scientist, gave featured remarks at the installation. Carey Joullian is Casady board of trustees chairman.
