Margaret Enis Spears honored at baby shower in Oklahoma City

A brunch and baby shower honored Margaret Spears. The party was given by Sherry Beasley, Cathey Cooper, Judy Dennis, Cheryl McLure, Susan Nicholson, Cindy Rice, Lil Ross, Patti Shidler and Sylvia Slater in the Beasley home.
Grandmother and aunt of the baby, Dixie Spears and Julie Adams, from Arkansas created a tiered cake from baby diapers. In the layers were Arkansas Razorback football team branded items including baby shoes, baby bottle, red toy pig, piggy bank tied with “Go Hogs” streamers.
Among the guests were Harolyn Enis, Carlene Burger, Betsy Hyde, Marian Kiker, Linda Steinhorn, Gwen Cockrill, Judy Wilson, Leslie Schwartz, Corey Blake, Stacey Stiglets, Linda Garrett, Susan Lewis, Bette MacKellar and Anne Nicholson.
Margaret and John Spears are expecting a baby boy to be named Michael Thomas Spears at the end of the month.

Ahoy! It’s A Boy!
Hostesses used a nautical theme for the Ahoy! It’s A Boy shower. (Photos provided).
Freda Duncan, Flo Stanton, Tenille Brown and Blanche Standaert were at the baby shower. honoring Brown. She and husband Jeff Brown will have a baby in June.
Tenille Brown was honored at a baby shower in the Norman home of Kate Stanton. Co-hostesses were Amy Hollis Bodwell and Kami Duncan Gantt.
There was nautical theme for the baby boy, who will be born in June. Sailboat flags hung from the chandelier and a line of baby clothes were on a clothesline draped on the mantle (one of the outfits had an anchor on it). Tenille and Jeff Brown are the parents.
Cookies decorated with anchors and cupcakes with the baby’s monogram G (for his name Grant Brown). The menu consisted of Ceasar salad, roasted red pepper humus sandwiches, fresh fruit with orange poppy seed dressing, organic chips, and cupcakes.
Cupcakes were decorated with polka dots and the initial G.
Monogrammed outfits were hung on the line. The middle outfit featured an anchor design.
Kami Duncan Gantt, Kate Stanton, Tenille Brown and Amy Bodwell have fun at the party.

BABY SHOWER

Cassie and Geoff Dulaney were honorees at a baby shower in the home of Laurie and Jim Hdye. The guests were longtime friends and family members.
Hosts were the Hydes, Margot McCann, Lori and Bond Payne and Merry and Chad Vose. Theme for the party was “adding a new bird to their nest.” Birds and bird nests were used in the decorations.
A baby china set was a gift from the hosts.
Dinner was pork tenderloin, Eischen’s fried chicken, southern cheese grits, Jalapeno cheese grits and biscuits with honey.
Guests included Vickie and Tommy Baker, Barbara walker, Mary Katherine Cuthbertson, Jennifer Willis, Phyllis and Ron Murray, Tiffany and John Murray, Ginger and William Murray, Kelly Parker, Christy and Jim Everest, Tricia Everest, Shirley and Pete Everest, Mary and Colin Fitzsimons, Nancy and Bob Ellis, Angela Reynolds, Betty Ann and Gerald Furseth, Sherry Furseth, Sharon and John Bozalis and Judy and Bill Phillips.
Also Steven Bentley, Rachel and Nelson Bolen, Laurie and Jim Hyde, Meg and Frank Ille, Bebe and Bruce MacKellar, Dick Parker, Lauren and Andy Sullivan.
Jim and Laurie Hyde, Margot McCann, Lori and Bond Payne were in the host group.

A come and go baby shower honored Jennie MacKellar Lewis.
She and husband, Ryan, are having a baby boy in April.
Hostesses for the event were Janie Axton, Barbara Beeler, Sue Goodman, Jayne Henline and Linda Reece in the Axton home.
On the buffet table was a car seat filled with flowers and balloons.
Among the party-goers were Bette MacKellar, Bebe MacKellar, Fanny Bolen, Kathy Rodgers, Helen Sullivan, Marty Margo, Becky Buchanan, Linda Steinhorn, Leslie Schwartz, Harolyn Enis, Lee Murphy, Pat Timberlake, Gennie Johnson and Mary Reneau.

PRETTY IN PINK

Eleven women gave a baby shower and party for baby Hazel Elizabeth Cory, her mother, Laura Cory, and grandmother, Barbara Mee.
Hostesses for the event in the home of Bette Jo Hill and Frank Hill were Hill, Bev Carter, Jamie Davis, Sally Davis, Ann Felton Gilliland,Chris Houk, Mary Anne Malone, Sue Nix, Marcia Powell, Shannon Rundell and Kathy Walker .
Crystal vases were filled with pink roses and purple cabbage roses. Iced cookies were shaped like baby bibs, ducks, strollers and rattles. Some of the cookies featured the baby’s initials.
There were also such food items as skewered fruit, baked brie, petit fours and mozzarella cheese and tomatoes on toast.
Baby Hazel was dressed in a pink dress and she slept throughout the party.

IT’S A BOY!

A come and go baby shower was given for Kirsten Cash who with her husband, Dr. Ross Cash, is having a baby boy. They have three daughters.
It was in the home of Jenny Kalsu in the Oakdale Meadow Addition. Hostesses were Shelly Lambertz, Michelle Ponder, Lauri Gormley, Mary Beth Griffing, Kim Collins, Amy Feuerborn, Kimberly Ross, Melissa Santoro and Kristin Racz.
Red bandana invitations were sent out for the little “buckaroo.” Cowboy boot vases with flowers and colored paper, cowboy hats and sherif badges and bandanas decorated the house.

Who: One-month-old Cole David Kramedjian, son of Della and Chris Kramedjian.
The hostesses: Janet Prebel and Pat Richardson in the Prebel home in Norman.
Just ducky: Yellow baby ducks were everywhere. They floated in the silver punch bowl. They sat on the mantel and at the entryway, along with vases of white roses. They sat on the dessert plates and they were on the party invitation.
The honoree: Baby Cole was the perfect guest. People held him throughout the party and he did not cry once.
