Mary and Bill Jones celebrate 40th anniversary

Mary and Bill Jones were honored at a 40th anniversary party. Hosts were their children, Ami Arthur, Casey Jones, Tom Jones, Molly Jones and Nick Jones in the Santa Fe Depot in Norman.
A frog theme was used because Bill Jones has told the children a frog story through the years so the mantra for the family is to “keep jumping.”
Besides the frogs everywhere there were framed pictures from their wedding and a slideshow playing during the event.
Bouquets of yellow gladiolus, yellow daisies and white hydrangeas were on the tables with white flower candles and green ribbons.
Mary Jones’ sister, Gloria Criser, made an exact replica of the cake decorated with doves, rings, flowers and netting that the Jones had at their wedding reception in 1971.
Greg Puckett, a groomsman from the wedding, and Marla Nix and Gina Newlin, two of the bridesmaids, were among the guests.

Marilyn and Bill Hammon celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a garden party at Cobblestone Creek Golf Club in Norman.
Hosts were their four children and spouses: Shonna and Michael Glenn, Honolulu, HI.; Heidi and Billy Hammon, Ft. Collins, Colo.; Tamara and John Hammon, Tara and Stephen Hammon, Moore.
Guests were greeted at a porch side bar with raspberry lemonade champagne spritzers. There was a buffet spread including a mashed potato martini bar and chocolate dessert fountain. The anniversary cake had four layers (2 chocolate, 1 Italian cream and 1 strawberry).
Many of the women wore summer garden party hats.
The 150 guests at the party danced to the music of the Mystery Dates Band.

DINNER AND ENTERTAINMENT

Elaine and Harrison Levy greeted guests at their anniversary party at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.
Elaine and Harrison Levy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with cocktails and dinner at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club with 300 friends.

Several buffet tables were set up with large flower arrangements of hydrangeas, lilies, orchids and ivy. Beautiful anniversary cakes trimmed in gold icing were the centerpieces for all of the tables.
There was a show featuring two entertainers from Las Vegas, Nev. They were Frank Sinatra and Barbara Streisand impersonators who looked and sang exactly like the two singers.
Guests came from California, Oregon, Missouri, Colorado, Texas and Oklahoma including Lu and Ray Ackerman, Phyllis and Dan Stough, Ann and Burns Hargis, Janice and Lee Segell, Pam and Bill Shdeed, Polly and Larry Nichols, Dianne and Mark Beffort, Mary Ann and Don Haskins, Anne and Ed Dalton, Jenny and David Kallenberger, DeDe and Bob Benham, Jane and David Thompson, Suzie and Stan Hupfeld, Karen and Earl Ingram, Linda Carpenter, Ann Simms, Bobbie and Leo Fields, Sherry and Ike Bennett, Hedra and Harry Merson, Jane and Buddy Rodgers, Gerald Ray, Jeanne and Ron Blair, Denise and Leon Levy, Alyson and Joe Ray, Mary and Stuart Levy, Peggy and Roger Collins, Loretta and Tom O’Donnell, Janet and Lee Rodgers, Helen, Hannah and Mark Rodgers.
