What a beautiful remembrance of Mex. She was truly the most remarkable woman I have ever met and she had a tremendous influence on my life and the lives of our children. Mex could relate to the younger generation just as well as she did with her peers. All of our wonderful memories of her will keep her a part of our lives forever.

Mex was a very special friend and mentor to me over the years. Every year she hosted a birthday luncheon for her daught in law, Joan Frates. Being the hostess with the mostest she had place cards, flowers, jokes and, always, a camera. A few days after the party that picture would arrive in your mail box. The last party she hosted was a few months before she died and I have a pic of Mex and me framed in our home. What a treasure and we all still miss her. XO A

Thanks for such a lovely tribute to such a wonderful person and longtime friend. I keep a framed letter from her on my desk. She was indeed one of a kind, for sure.
