The Christmas Connection provides toys to children at Christmas time. They served nearly 8,000 people through their school, Christmas and crisis programs last year.

Christmas Connection’s annual Winter Ball is Oct. 24th at 6:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Ballroom at the Cox Convention Center. There will be dinner, a silent and live auction

“With a changing economy, we expect the number of families in need of our services to grow exponentially this year,” said Valerie Finley, executive director of the Christmas Connection. “The money raised at the Winter Ball not only supports our clients at Christmas time, but also funds our school and crisis relief programs year-round.”

The Christmas Connection provides necessities to nearly 7,700 children, adults and seniors annually.  The CC offers programs throughout the year including school supplies, clothing and crisis relief. It is modeled after a department store allowing the families it serves the dignity to “shop” for items that fit their own unique taste.

Volunteers and staff members work hard to make sure children and seniors will have new items to take home at Christmas. Seniors and families can come to the CC store to fill their baskets with everything on their wish list from food and toys to coats and winter clothing.
