DINNER UNDER THE STARS….If you heard excellent music while driving down Grand Blvd. near North Pennsylvania, it was not coming from your Sirius radio. It was the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra playing near the driving range of the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.

Tables were set up for 350 members for the “Evening in Hollywood” outdoor dinner and the hour -and -a -half concert. Orchestra members performed beneath a white tent. Champagne cocktails were served on the plaza near the golf shop.

Gorilla (Dr. James Hochtritt) and Cheryl Hewett celebrate her birthday. (Photo provided.)

FANTASY GUESTCheryl Hewett celebrated her birthday with friends and a surprise guest….a large gorilla bringing her a birthday gift…a banana.

Pots of flowers decorated the Hewett home and garden utensils, seed packets and flowers decorated the buffet table.

But the gorilla did not go with the theme. He danced the twist, the watusi and the swim before revealing his identity. He was Dr. James Hochtritt, friend of the Hewett family. Although the party was not a surprise party, the honoree was definitely surprised.
