It was a special day for SoRelle Fitzgerald. Her family entertained at a beautiful 70th birthday luncheon in her honor at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club. Friends celebrated and all of them brought birthday cards.

Hosts were husband Don Fitzgerald, and children Kelly and Mike Brewer, Ginny and Jay Fitzgerald and Erin Fitzgerald and Eli Embree.

The party invitation had an embossed crown for the “Queen Bee” and at each guest’s plate was some candy and a tiny book, designed by SoRelle’s sister Trish Hopkins, tied with lime green ribbon. The book featured an embossed bee.

It had four small pages. One said “Queen Bee SoRelle is still buzzin’ at 70 and has kept the same Honey for 50 years.”

The second page was a photo of the honoree.

The third page had a quote: “ Friendship is the thing most necessary to life.” Aristotle.

And the fourth page said; “ Your friendship brings me laughter and great fun. Thanks for helping me celebrate my birthday.” SoRelle.

Party flowers on the luncheon tables were in blue and white bowls and were roses, peonies, tulips and hydrangeas. One table held beautifully framed pictures of SoRelle from her life through the years. She was in dance costume, band attire, bridal gown and with new babies.
