Boulevard Boys Party…. Every month members of the all alumni Classen High School Boulevard Boys meet for lunch, date night or for golf. In February they had the annual Sweetheart luncheon at the Boulevard Cafeteria.

Nancy and Gene Sewell and Lily and Bill Dunlap were greeters and Maryland and Archer Stotts served the “Comet” Valentine cake. Claude Woody gave each person a candy party favor.

Classen School for Advanced Studies principal, Valorie Harris, was a special guest.

The “Entourage” Men’s Quartet with James Foster, Elvie Ellis, E.J. Thomas and Zach Thomas, also from Classen sang songs including “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” and “Dear Classen High School.”

Brian Anderson played classical guitar.

HONORING ANNIE….Gene Barth, Dannie Bea Hightower, Joan Frates, Sarah Hogan and Ann Hoover were hostesses at a party honoring Annie Bohanon who received one of Oklahoma City University’s Awards of Excellence. The party was in the Hogan home.

A picture of the honoree was set in the mirror in the dining room where candies, monogrammed petit fours, cheeses and fruits were served to the guests. Beautiful roses, tulips and hydrangeas in green vases decorated the tables, along with strands of pearls and hats, all depicting Annie’s traits.

A huge sign hung in the window saying “Congratulations to our Imaginative, Innovative, Incredible and Visionary Annie.” The sign was decorated with hats, pearls, glasses, gloves and shoes.

Hostess Ann Hoover welcomed guests and Bohanon gave a brief talk.

AFTER THE BALL…Rita Moore, Wanda and Bill Swisher, Cheryl and Stephen Browne and Meg and Chris Salyer honored Annie Bohanon at an “After the Ball Brunch”. It was at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country.

Bohanon received the Dulaney-Browne Society Award at the Oklahoma City University Awards of Excellence honoring Distinguished Women of Oklahoma.

Bouquets of white daisies were on the tables for the seated party, along with the hats, pearls and lots of confetti stars.
Table talk was about the dinner and dance the night before honoring four women including Bohanon, Ann Johnstone, Linda Haneborg and Carol Blackwood.

Among the party-goers were Dick Bohanon, Kaye and Ed Cook, Charlotte Richels, Brenda and Tom McDaniel, Ann and Burns Hargis, Sally and Dick Burpee, Cathy and Russ Walker, Ann Hoover, Karen and Rob Luke, Marilyn Balyeat, Bill Holley, Mary and Mike Mahaffey, Gene and Ed Barth, Dannie Bea Hightower, Charlotte Richels, Kon Keesee, Suzanne and Stanley Cunningham, Kitty and Dick Champlin, Beth and Jim Tolbert, Sue Ann and Dudley Hyde, Carol and Mac Troy and Mary Beth and David Busby.
