WINTER BALL…Polly Nichols, Shirley Everest, Carol Joullian and Seyan Hefner were at the fall Winter Ball meeting to plan for the January 19th formal Ball at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. They are all new committee members. Millie Hightower is chairman and co-chairman is Lisa Pierce. Hightower was hostess for the event.
PARTY TO REMEMBER…Debby and Paul Dudman, Patricia Gambulos, Katie Dudman and Jon Jones were at The Coach House on October 19th where Katie Dudman and Jon Jones were honorees at a gourmet dinner. The couple was married the next day in her parents’ home in the formal English garden. At the dinner, bouquets of roses, hydrangeas, orchids and berries were on the tables and guests gave champagne toasts to the couple. Each woman received a beautiful white rose tied with white ribbons as she left the party.
ANOTHER CROWN…Annie Bohanon, Jane Jayroe Gamble, Terri Cooper, Gene Barth and Sally Burpee were at the party honoring Jane Jayroe Gamble who will be among the eight honorees at the 80th annual Oklahoma Hall of Fame banquet in November. Hostesses for the party were her friends Barth, Bohanon, Becky Buchanan, Burpee, Cooper and Ann Hoover in the Bohanon home. The invitation stated “Another crown (she’s a former Miss America) for our dear Jane! Soon she’ll join the Hall of Fame.”
Calla lilies, orchids and pink periwinkles decorated the buffet table. There was a cake with a Miss America created out of cake icing. Tiny crowns decorated petit fours.
HONOREES…Eb Hines and Kris Frankfurt were at the cocktail party honoring Kris and Bill Frankfurt who were among the people inducted in the Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation Wall of Fame on October 25. Hosts were Gene and Ed Barth, Annie and Dick Bohanon, Sue Ann and Dudley Hyde, Karen and Rob Luke, Polly and Larry Nichols, Lela and Mark Sullivan and Carol and Mac Troy in the Bohanon home.
COSTUMES ONLY…Fay and Mike Garey and Jennifer and John McCharen wear their costumes for the “Haunted House” for Jennifer’s 34th birthday party. It was an annual Halloween/Birthday party and Jennifer wore a pirate’s costume and her husband came as a box of cereal, Wheaties.
FIRST LOOK.…Beth Kerr, Christi Woodworth, Kathryn Wilson and Amy Logan were at the Junior League Preview Party at the Cox Pavilion of State Fair Park where they got first dibs on merchandise. The party preceded the three -day shopping Market which opened on October 19th. Decorations included big silver stars, holiday packages, balloon Santas and Christmas ornaments and besides food and private shopping, there was also a silent auction.
Committee members included Kathryn P. Wilson, Market chairman. On her board were Kimberly Anders, Debby McQueen, Wendy Mounger, Jennifer Watkins, Staci Aduddell, Jeannie Butts, Christi Woodworth, E’Shaina Harned, Christi Coyle, Jenifer Stehr, Amy Logan, Beth Kerr, Leslie Noller, Bonnie Schwarz, Laura Hine, Bobbie Brewer, Lisa McConnell and Karla Wallace.
