PARTIES EXTRA!-OCTOBER 24,2007- HALL OF HONOR
Five extraordinary people were named to the Oklahoma Commerce and Industry Hall of Honor on October 22. They are Ann Simmons Alspaugh, Jackie Cooper, Bob Mills, Ron Norick and Tom Ward.
Oklahoma City University established the Hall of Honor to recognize business and community leaders who have contributed to Oklahoma’s growth and development.
At the sold-out luncheon at the Cox Convention Center there was a video presentation about each of the honorees. Master of ceremonies Vincent F. Orza, Dean of the Oklahoma City University Meinders School of Business, introduced them. They received plaques and engraved vases.
OCU President Tom McDaniel gave the opening remarks and noted that each of the honorees had a “servant’s heart.” Entertainment was by students from the OCU Wanda L. Bass School of Music.
