PARTIES EXTRA!-OCTOBER 23,2007- Bachelor’s Club Entertains

PRESERVING A LEGACY…Oklahoma City Bachelor’s Club members were hosts for the annual party for alumni members and guests. It was at Bin 73.
Among the partygoers were Vince Hoenig, Kaye and John Adams, Bob Ross, Dr. Bob Rutledge, Susan and John Frank, Phil Pippin, Sharon and John Bozalis, Candy and Tom Dulaney, John Paul Merritt, Eddie Patterson, Chris Wilson, Jack Mills and Sam Vinnal.
Daniel Smith is president of the group which will sponsor the 62nd Bachelor’s Club Debutante Ball on December 21 at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.
The Bachelor’s Club began in 1938 and the debutante presentation was started in 1945.
Dick Clements, Ted Elam, Ed Cook, Sidney Upsher and Tom Dulaney attend the party for former Beaux Arts Ball kings.
KING SCENE…Former Beaux Arts Ball kings met in the home of Ted Elam for a cocktail party.
The party was a social gathering, so there was no formal agenda.
Among the people at the party were Lee Allan Smith, Ed Cook, Jim Everest, Tom Dulaney, John Mee, Sidney Upsher, Bill Cleary, Bob Johnson, Larry Nichols, Dick Clements, Bill Swisher, Dan Hogan, Dick Sias and G.T. Blankenship.
The men usually meet once a year prior to the November Beaux Arts Ball at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. The Ball will honor the 2007 king and debutantes and escorts.
TOP BILLING…New officers of the Oklahoma City Chapter of Executive International had dinner and the annual officers’ installation at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.
EWI President Linda Walker Brown gave the gavel to the incoming president Yolanda Holman.
James D. Branscum and Sara McKinney installed the new officers. They are Ann McVey, vice-president/ president-elect; Kay Duke, secretary; Santa Brescia, treasurer; Lynda Plemons, sergeant-at-arms; Jessica Gonzalez and Linda Snodgrass, membership directors; Kelly Hamilton-Coyer, program director; Lisa Riggs, publications director; Nancy Pennell, ways and means, and Cathy Borjas, director-at-large.
Among the people at the event were Elaine Schuster, Donna Neal Thomas, Don Wright, Trish Potter, Danene Vincent, Mark Vincent and Gayle and Jesse Ikard.
DEJA VU…Theme for the 50th reunion of John Marshall High School classmates was “From the 50s to the 50th.” The group had a brunch and a golf tournament at The Greens Golf and Country Club, followed by a tour of the new John Marshall High School. Bob West led the tour.
They also had a dinner party at the Marriott Hotel. Master of Ceremonies John Pierson gave the welcome. Also on the program were Kenny Sipes, Jan Birsner, Madison Odor, Spencer Knapp and Bob Tucker.
On the planning committee were Barbara and Bob Tucker, Charlene Miller, Donna Huffman, Jarretta Meeker, Leona and Mike Murphy, Warren Collins, Harry Mason, Duane Moore, Margaret Johnson, Carolyn and Spencer Knapp, Pierson and Birsner.
