PARTIES EXTRA!-OCTOBER 21, 2007- KATIE DUDMAN AND JON JONES
Katie Dudman and Jon Jones were married October 20. The wedding and reception were in her parents’ formal English garden. Debby and Paul Dudman were hosts for the lovely event. Judge Marian Opala officiated.
The bride ‘s wedding dress was a silk satin Monique Lhuillier with a pouffed skirt and a train. The dress also featured a blue sash and large antique scatter pin in the back. She carried a nosegay of roses, orchids and freesia tied with blue ribbon and wore flowers and feathers in her hair .
Chairs for the guests were set in the garden and the aisle chairs featured large nosegays of roses and berries. The couple stood under a large iron trellis, also decorated with large sprays of roses, orchids and freesia. A black and white checked floor provided a pathway for guests and a white satin carpet was rolled out for the bride’s entry.
Organza bags filled with white rose petals were in each chair and guests showered the couple with petals as they exited the arbor as man and wife.
The cake and tall silver vases filled with white flowers sat on a round table in the white gazebo. Crystal toasting champagne flutes were etched to match the icing on the cake. Roses and rose petals floated in the fountain. Amelia Atwill was her sister’s matron of honor and Jason Jones was his brother’s best man. Ushers were Baxter and Ben Lewallen.
