FUN AT A FORMAL….Seventy Five Club members had the Fall Dance at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. 200 people attended the event which convened with cocktails at 7:30 p.m.
A gourmet dinner featured beef tenderloin and a special dessert of chocolate fudge cake and berries with a 75 etched in powdered sugar on the plate.
New members (the men are club members) of the group and their wives are Toby and Phil Walker, Alison and Zach Taylor, Carol and James Hampton, Jane and Paul Austin, Holly and Clay Healey, Peggy and Roger Collins, Anne and Barry Gray and Sherry and Lee Beasley.
Party-goers included Linda and Steve Garrett (he is club president), Becky and Jim Buchanan, Jeary and Mike Seikel, Gene and Ed Barth, Dede and Bob Benham, Ann and Tom Flesher, Linda and Ron Bonebrake, Anne and Win Holbrook, Sharon and David Wade, Carol and Mac Troy, Sue Ann and Dudley Hyde, Pam and Bill Shdeed, Patty and Roland Tague, Mary and Phil Truss, Kay and Gates Oliver, Bette and Jim MacKellar, Marty and Robert Margo and Karen and Earl Ingram.
VINTAGE TREASURES…Junior League sustaining members met in the home of Linda Lee Carpenter for a party. They were asked to bring a “vintage treasure” ( antiques, linens, lamps or china) for the Remarkable Shop.
And they did just that. The 120 attendees brought silver serving items, Limoges boxes, an antique clock, a bronze lamp with a glass shade, child’s rocking chair and some antique linens.
The serving table was draped in ivory satin and lace. On the menu was cucumber sandwiches, roasted red pepper cheesecake, hot pecan dip, cheddar and strawberry ring and assorted desserts and sugar cookies made by Linda Garrett in the shape of fall leaves and acorns.
Guests included Carol Sue Taylor, Nancy Greer, Garrett, Ranell Brown, Sue Spradling, Susan Robertson, Kaye Cook, Sally Bentley, Polly Nichols, Martha Mullally, Betsy Hyde, Cathy Cross, Karen Luke, Ann Garrett, Karen James, Kitty Champlin, Elaine Jackson, Marty Margo, Phyllis Wheeler, Patti Marshall, Linda Kennedy Rosser, Betty Jo Law and Jonna Kirschner.
GRAN ENTERTAINS…Jackie Jones invited friends over to meet her grandson, Benjamin Carter Jones, 6 1/2 months. It was a Sip and See party and he was wide awake for the party.
Bouquets of white roses decorated the table and tea sandwiches and party cookies were served to the guests at the come and go event.
Guests included his mother Shalla Jones, Claire Puckett, Sandy Shapard, Jackie Acers, Becky Buchanan, Nancy Greer and Linda James.

“HOW TO” PARTY…How to be a good mother-in-law was the advice given at a luncheon honoring Barbara Quillian and Sandy Edge at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.
Jeaneen Naifeh and her daughter, Jenee Lister, asked guests to write their advice for the two mothers-in-law prior to the wedding of their children, Jennifer Edge and Patrick Quillian.
The notes went into a beautiful bag which was a gift for the bride.
Guests included Barbara Beeler, Terry Bradley, Jane White, Marty Margo, Leslie Rainbolt-Forbes, Carol Solomon, Penny McCaleb, Karen Watson, Candy Ainsworth, Samina Baber and Betsy Hyde.
Several other parties honored the couple. Terry and Hank Bradley hosted a cocktail party. Co-hosts were Judi Smith, Jane Crain, Carol and Steve Solomon, Marty and Robert Margo, Barbara and Bud Beeler, Candy and Chuck Ainsworth, Jane and Jim White and Kathy and John Griffin.
A linen shower and patio supper in the home of Peggy and Nick Duncan honored the couple. Co-hosts were Marilyn and Jack Baragree, Leslie and Larry Regens, Penny Park and Jana and Lee Reynolds.
There was a kitchen shower in Donna Bozalis’ home. Hostesses were Bozalis, Cheryl Browne, Penny McCaleb and Leslie Rainbolt-Forbes.
PARTY FOR ART…Jeanette and Dick Sias gave a dinner party for the board members of the Oklahoma Arts Council.
Among the guests was Betty Price, former executive director of the Oklahoma Arts Council, who retired from the job in September. Jim Tolbert and Dick Sias gave speeches about her before dinner.
Also there were Sharon King Davis, Leona Mitchell and Elmer Bush, Sandy and Stan Evans, Kym Koch and Mickey Thompson, Jim Tolbert, Jan Henry, Brenda McDaniel, Suzanne Tate and Chris Mauldin, Norris Price and Joan and Al McLaughlin.
