There was excellent music, wonderful food, a special party atmosphere and just a great evening last night (April 25th) at the Chesapeake Boathouse on the Oklahoma River.

ARTS! ARTS! ARTS! party planners, led by co-chairmen Kathy Cain and Carol Wilkinson Troy, even considered the weather and put up a white tent on the deck for the dinner catered by Deep Fork Grill.

The University of Oklahoma Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts event featured the OU Steel Band, OU Jazz Band, OU Department of Musical Theater and the OU School of Dance as entertainment for the several hundred guests.

Lighted candles and large bouquets of white daisies and chrysanthemums decorated the tables and guests wore nautical attire. Everyone loved watching the boating crews come off the river with their long boats to store in the Boathouse.

Committee members were Jerriann Altshuler, Gene Barth, Gail Beals, Lee Ann Bratten, Joanna Champlin, Terri Cooper, Amy Edwards, Lyn Elam, Mary Frates, Beverly Funke, Linda Garrett, Tripp Hall, Kirk Hammons, Seyan Hefner, Tamara Hermen, Sarah Hogan, Jayme Howell, Sue Ann Hyde, Carol Joullian, Barbara Kerrick, Jill King, Patty Mellow, Sandy Meyers, Mary Nichols, Chip Oppenheim, Barbara Paul, Linda Rodgers, Wanda Swisher, Marcy Taber, Donna Vogel, Anne Workman, Carolyn Wright and Laura and Lee Young.

Judi Freyer, Lynn and Dr. Ron White were entertained by the OU Steel Band, OU Jazz Band and Performance by the OU School of Dance. A big white tent with heaters was set up on the deck of the Boathouse because the weather turned a little chilly on April 25th.
