PARTIES EXTRA

TO TERRY

Terry Neese, Laura Bush, President George Bush and Terry’s granddaughter Emily Brown of Yukon were at the White House Christmas
Party in December. Neese just received this card from the White House.
Theme for the Christmas party was “Deck The Halls and Welcome All.”
Terry and Emily toured the Library in the White House and viewed the
First Ladies Room filled with portraits of the Presidents’ Wives. The highlight of the party was a picture taken with George and Laura. He gave Emily his Presidential Seal lapel pin.

ACCESSORIZE AND CELEBRATE

One hundred and twenty of Annie Bohanon’s friends gathered to celebrate her birthday at The Coach House. Hostesses asked them to “Accessorize and Celebrate,” and the fashionable crowd wore gloves, hats, necklaces, scarves, flowers and fur boas to complete their outfits. Many of them copied the honoree’s fashionable effects.

Bohanon wore an A-line dress with a fox jacket, red shoes, red gloves and red glasses. Several guests, including Martha Williams, Kaye Cook, Marylin Upsher and Joan Payne, wore hats, pearls, fishnet hose and pins similar to Bohanon’s attire.

Hostesses were Ann Alspaugh, Gene Barth, DeDe Benham, Kitty Champlin, Joan Frates, Ann Hoover, Beth Tolbert and Toni Weizenberg.

Cakes in the shapes of purses, eyeglasses, shoes and hats were served at the party. Partygoers — none in snow attire despite the snowy weather — included Sue Timberlake, Tricia Everest, Marilyn Balyeat, Barbara Beeler, Susan Hoffman, Marion DeVore, Kristen and Kim Bohanon, Karen Browne, Pat Edwards, Sally Burpee and Barbara Cooper.
