Stranded on a ski lift: Dumbest movie idea ever?

If a 4-year-old can survive a 40-foot drop, I’m sure the people in this clip can make an attempt to get off and ride down. People jump cliffs bigger than this. I believe the movie is called “Frozen.” Have a look…

I have to agree. Pretty dumb looking movie. When I was ten I watched my mother fall off a ski lift while attempting to help me get something. She didn’t even sprain an ankle.

Wow this looks so dumb why would ANYONE pay money for this movie?!

Three twenty-somethings go sking, and none of them has a cell phone??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!! This is a comedy, right???

When I was around 19 or 20 our lift stopped for about 45 mins.So me and my buddy decided to jump off the lift.We just sunk into the powder about a foot maybe two.No sprains,no broken bones not even a bruise. We jumped about 15 ft or so and I have never seen a wolf around any ski resort!Ha ha ha

Never had to jump off a ski lift. But all I’m saying is that if you’re going to make a horror film, make something scarier than ski lifts. I mean, come on. A pack of demon-possessed snowboarders haunting a half-pipe would be scarier than a stuck ski lift.

I have to say actually that i watched this film with my husband last night and its a really good movie! You should all give it a chance, first of all they were 100ft in the air and he was freezing, he jumped and landed wrong. Its a very sad and realistic film and think you should give it a chance!

Yea, I can understand a jump wouldn’t be too bad if there was powder, but I snowboard on the east coast and there are many lifts that don’t even get snow underneath them. If there is snow, normally it’s hardpack or ice, especially at night. Breaking a leg at that hight with those conditions is very possible. The wolves, on the other hand, are a very far stretch. Get a freaking ski or use your board to defend yourself! It was a pretty good movie psychologically, but there where a lot of unrealistic mistakes made that put the characters in all of those situations. Typical horror movie where people can’t use their brains.

Maybe all of you will consider it a good movie once you will learn that it’s based on a true sory. Now it’s enough horror for your sick brains?

well to other commentors the kid broke his leg due to the snow being coompacted by the other skiiers.
i do think it funny that the weakest and least intelligent one ends up surviving due to the luck of fate.
it did have me clenching my seat though….

but would wolves really do that?

Ten minutes into the movie I would make a rope out of our jackets and pants and ski down naked! Just by watching the movie I have come up with a solution to the problem. Good movie but entirely unrealistic.
Whoever really died by being stranded on one of these things is not very intelligent. Survival of the fittest.
