How much does such a thing weigh? Would seem like a liquid fuel stove would be lighter, but I could be wrong.

A wood burning stove
You do not have to have one, BUT it's nice if you do.
It's get a fire going realy quickly and do not use so much wood as a open fire

I have just got one of these stoves http://www.occuk.co.uk/outdoor
and I am very impressed it's a great potboiler, I have the small one,
also it's give me some thing to sit around it at night.Bushmans TV short of thing
