Back to the original point: regardless of politics, there is a need out there to educate people about nature and taking care of the outdoors. It would seem to be a worthy goal to bring up kids in a way that teaches them appreciation for the outdoors and what it takes to help keep wild places healthy. So what do we do about that?

Of course conservation is dying. It’s all about making the almighty dollar and if you don’t make it profitable to ‘conserve’, it’s more than likely not going to happen. Look at Oklahoma City’s most vaulted I-40 realignment. It’s destroying a train station where diesel DMU’s obtain 200 mpg/passenger. It’s ridiculous that they’re doing it but it’s about the federal dollars.

“Some might take issue with the study, because it defined support of conservation efforts as giving to four environmental groups…” BINGO! because, of course, only liberals love the environment. (sarcastic rolling of eyes)
Those groups all use environmentalism as a front to support a broad agenda of socialism.
