Awesome news! After having just resumed trout fishing after ~30 year break, I was just getting back in the swing of it when the stocking stopped. Ouch! Now, I know where I'll be this weekend!

Thank you for your blog on the Lower Illinois trout fishing. I have been fishing the Lower Illinois, staying at MarVal, for thirty years and have seen many changes in MarVal and the river. I had written off the Lower Illinois for this winter, but am really glad it will be back. Plan on making at least one trip this winter to fish it. Would like to see an article on MarVal as it is a wonderful place for families.
