Learn to catch fish this summer

The first of several family fishing clinics this summer in the Oklahoma City area will be Thursday evening at Arcadia Lake.
Free family fishing clinics at Arcadia Lake will be held every Thursday evening throughout the summer.
The classes are designed to introduce newcomers to fishing. Kids and adults will learn about what fishing gear to use, knot tying, water safety, knot tying, fish cleaning and cooking and more.
To register for one of the Arcadia fishing clinics, call 521-3855. The two-hour clinics begin at 6:30 p.m. each Thursday.
On Saturday morning, there is a kids only fishing clinic (ages 5 to 15) at Edwards Park Lake in Oklahoma City. The clinic is from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Other kids fishing classes will be held June 11 at Metro Tech and June 18 at the Dolese Park Youth Pond. Call 316-3474 to register for the kids’ clinics.
The fishing clinics are sponsored by the Wildlife Department’s Aquatic Resources Education Program.
