Hunter Sharp, 9, took this tom that is the new Oklahoma Muzzleloader Rio Grande turkey state record, reports his father, Jonathan Sharpe. The National Wild Turkey Federation keeps records for each state. Hunter's bird had a beard of 9 9/16 inches,  spurs of 1 1/4-inches and  1 3/16, and weighed 20.75 pound. Hunter's overall NWTF score is 64.3750. The previous record was 57.1250. His bird was taken with a traditional blackpowder muzzleloader at 20 yards and was his first tom.
