Hunter Sharp of Moore, 9, took this tom that is the new Oklahoma Muzzleloader Rio Grande turkey state record, reports his father, Jonathan Sharpe. The National Wild Turkey Federation keeps records for each state. Hunter's bird had a beard of 9 9/16 inches, spurs of 1 1/4-inches and 1 3/16, and weighed 20.75 pound. Hunter's overall NWTF score is 64.3750. The previous record was 57.1250. His bird was taken with a traditional blackpowder muzzleloader at 20 yards and was his first tom.

Christopher Smith of Moore landed this 10 pound, 8 ounce largemouth bass Saturday at McGree Creek Lake near Atoka. Smith only caught two fish all day, but landed this big sow in 6-feet of water at a flooded cedar tree. After having this photo taken, he released the fish back into the lake.
