Last day of quail season and long wait until Nov 2011. While qauil hunting Roger Mills county over the weekend with former OK quail biologist Steve DeMaso, who did the Packsaddle study, worked for TX Parks & Wildlife and also the CKWRI studing quail. Steve put forth an good example of our dwindling quail habitat and populations. He said it's all about habitat. If you can picture good landscape habitat for quail as a piece of swiss cheese. If you put too many holes in the landscape, how long before you no longer have swiss cheese? Want to learn more and be a part of the movement to bring back Bob? The Central Oklahoma 89er Chapter of Quail Forever is having a meeting this evening, Tuesday, Nov 15th at the Olive Garden 2636 W Memorial Road starting at 6:30. Please come and join us, you won't be dissapointed and you can help make a difference.
