I appreciate the recognition of the bass fishing teams. My son and his partner just won the Bassmasters Carrhartt collegiate series National Championship for OSU in July 2012. 74? I think teams qualified for the championship tournament. These teams fished 5 consecutive days, eight ours a day in 105 plus degree weather. 4 of those teams fished an additional day for the bassmasters classic spot. I commend them all and they are a fine group of young men. However, it is very difficult for the parents/grand parents to fund the fuel, tackle, hotel, food expense that it takes. Not to metion that we are also paying for a college education. I would love to see these upcoming fishermen have a chance at scholarship money for the sport. My son and is partner are both in their senior year and we have managed to pull through financially. And it was worth every dime. Their future may be professional fishing. Who knows? But I can only imagine the fine fisherman out there that might not have the same opportunity due to the lack of funds. I would also love for Mr. Pickens to ackowledge OSU's Fishing Team and what they have accomplished. That would be very nice. THank you
