Perhaps an organization that actually gives a rat’s azz should be in charge of the event rather than one from a foreign country(Indiana).

seems funy, they can charge $10 a person for a garden show , fill 4 buildings of vendors and the Tackle show can’t fill 1 building. Either they want a ton of money for a spot or they just don’t think it is worth their time. Oh, wait,Tulsa is still having theirs. Guess I drive 90 miles and spend my money there

I feel the same way with the Backwoods show at the fairgrounds, which is coming up in March. I know its not free to run the building but about $7 for everybody over the age 0f 12 is a little steep.
And if you arent into a guided hunt the past few years you didnt hav much to look at. I feel its the next thing to be axed!!

darn iam really disappointed they cancel it again. what is it not enough sponsors. i was coming too it and look forward too it. really disappointed in texas.

I myself have always enjoyed going to the tackle show and boat show at the fairgrounds and even the shows in Dallas TX but as years went on I wondered why we were being charged for these shows. We would go out as a family to these shows and of course would buy at the consessions and by the time we were done we had spent $60 just to look. I quit going to the shows because of the cover charge, plus I can get the same affect by gathering the family and taking them to Bass Pro Shop and spending the $60 at an eatry. Just my thoughts for about 5 years now.
