		<description><![CDATA[Salt Plains Sat. 11-7-09, about 1 pm, mudflat across lake south of Eagle Roost Trail. Saw one whooper milling about with sand hill cranes coming into mudflat (continuous flocks of 30-60, several hundred birds, arriving from the north). a bit further west (where eagle roost trail turns back to the north) heard at least one, maybe two, whoopers calling from the south, behind a screen of reeds.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Saw three groups yesterday and today about 3 1/2 miles SE of Crescent.All seemed to circle just before the Cimarron river but went on south because the river was flowing wall to wall.No sand bars to land on.]]></description>
